Palaye Royale is a rock band originally formed in Toronto, Canada, despite relocating to Las Vegas. The brothers formed their band in 2008 under the name Kropp Circle, later changing their name to Palaye Royale in the summer of 2011. Their name was taken from the dance hall Palais Royale in Toronto, where their grandparents first met. Their single "Get Higher" peaked at #27 on the Billboard Modern Rock Charts and they were the first unsigned band to win MTV's Musical March Madness awards, beating out artists such as Linkin Park. They have finished recording their second album and hope to release it in 2018. The brothers take their stage last names from their middle names, their birth last name is Kropp.
Palaye Royale started as a small band called Kropp Circle, with Danzig being 16, Leith being 14 and Barrett being 12 at the time, Jim McGorman interviewed the band on 2010. In the summer 2011, the band name was changed to Palaye Royale.
After their name change, Palaye Royale released their first single, "Morning Light" in 2012. A year later, they released their first EP. The EP contains six tracks, but none these made it to their final album.
In December 2015, Sumerian Records announced that they signed with Palaye Royale, and with that came the release of their new album Boom Boom Room (Side A).
The album contains thirteen songs, and two bonus tracks, which were originally released as a two-tracked EP in 2013, Get Higher and White. Some of the band's songs from the album were "Mr. Doctor Man", "Don't Feel Quite Right", "Ma Cherie (featuring Kellin Quinn from Sleeping with Sirens), and "Sick Boy Solider".
In 2017, Leith's voice was used in the movie American Satan, as Johnny Faust's singing voice (portrayed by Andy Biersack). Some of the band's music was featured in the movie, like "Ma Cherie" (instrumental version) and "Mr. Doctor Man". Leith also sang tracks for the movie's album, such as "Let Him Burn", "Forgive me Mother", and "Me Against the Devil".
