Pakistan Advertising Society (referred as PAS ; Urdu: پاکستان مشتہر ادارہ ۔یا۔ پاکستان ایڈورٹائیزرز سوسائٹی) is an advertising and marketing society, that optimize marketing communications and promotes the advertising agencies's campaigns, slogans and networks.
Founded in 1996, society's main purpose was to build the new foundations of advertising and marketing in Pakistan with the collaborations of country's all major companies and advertising agencies. Society has successfully developed a strong connections and now it is the representative of 80% of the ad-spend of Pakistan.
To encourage advertisers and promoters PAS has inaugurated PAS Awards in 2011, which honors the best in advertisements of the year. Entries are set open every year for the advertisers and agencies to submit portfolios of their campaigns and slogans which had proven best in marketing and branding of products for their companies that year.
Created in 1996, PAS since then is governed by a board of Council Members and directed by an Executive Director. Society's prime objective is to 'empower its members' in dealing with the government, advertising agencies, media and other organizations integral to the advertising industry.
Society has managed by executive council that are further divided into sub-positions, including Chairman, Vice President, Executive Directors and nine executive council members from the major companies with the positions of Chief executive officers, managing directors and general managers.
Current Chairmen of PAS is Khurram Masood Koraishy the General Manager of Tapal Tea, Vice President Amir Paracha the VP of Unilever Pakistan and Executive director of PAS is Qamar Abbas.
The sub-committees and society events are managed by Tanvir Hussain.
