Pacelli High School is a private secondary school located on the north side of Stevens Point, Wisconsin in the Roman Catholic Diocese of La Crosse. The school, named in honor of Pope Pius XII, was founded in 1955 by Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools (Christian Brothers).
Originally an all-boys high school, Pacelli merged with the all-girls Maria High School in the early 1970s to create a co-ed school offering a college-prep curriculum. The school is currently housed in the former Maria High School building. The former Pacelli building on Division Street is now home to the local YMCA. Pacelli became part of the Stevens Point Area Catholic Schools when consolidation of all the Catholic schools took place in 1986.
The 1998 Pacelli Cardinals baseball team won the WISAA Division III championship. In 2003, they won the school's first WIAA Division III title, defeating the Zephyrs of Menasha St. Mary's 6-3.
Basketball at Pacelli starts in October right after the football season and goes until the beginning of March into the playoffs. Pacelli fields three levels, varsity, junior varsity, and freshmen.
Girls Basketball begins in November and runs through March. Pacelli Girls Basketball currently has a varsity team and a junior varsity team.
Bowling at Pacelli starts after the football and soccer seasons end in the fall and goes until early March. The 2012-2013 season bowling champions are Hunter Hoerter, Paul Studinski, Nathan Glinski, and Austin Zdroik, from team "Murica." They finished with a win-loss record of 40-20, the first student team to win in several years.
Pacelli High School's Cross Country Team has had several people qualify and compete at state competitions.
