Paanch (Hindi: पाँच; English:Five) is an unreleased Indian crime thriller film written and directed by Anurag Kashyap and starring Kay Kay Menon, Aditya Srivastava, Vijay Maurya, Joy Fernandes and Tejaswini Kolhapure. The film is "loosely" based on the 1976-77 Joshi-Abhyankar serial murders in Pune.

The film never got a theatrical or home-video release. The Central Board of Film Certification objected to the film's violence, the depiction of drug abuse and bad language. After some cuts, the film was cleared in 2001. However, it could not be released as the producer faced some problems. A preview copy of the film was leaked online in 2010.

The film starts with the 4 actors Murgi Gende Shuili and Pondu confessing the truth about the crimes they had committed lead by their own friend and band vocalist Luke. All the four stay at Luke's room in an old apartment and are scared of him due to his short temper. Pondu has less tolerance towards Luke. Pondu is also crazy behind shuili who is an escort and doesn't care for Pondy as he has is poor and shows shows insecurity when she hangs out with other rich men. All the five perform at bar and other small shows for money. Aneesh ranjan a studio recordist shows them dreams about being country's top rock band and asks for 3 lakhs rupees for sound recording at his studio. Nikhil , who is their friend plans his own kidnap and asks them to blackmail his father and demand 3 lakhs from him. The idea fails and Luke ends up killing Nikhil with an iron rod which started with an argument. He threatens to kill anyone who try to escape and hides his dead body in his own godown. Later Luke plans for a robbery at nikhils house. They steal the money and luke kills nikhils father when he comes to know about it. They give 3 lakhs to aneesh Ranjan and get fooled as he is a bigger criminal. Inspector desh pandey who is nikhils uncle gets to know about it and before Informing the force raids their room. Luke strangles him , with pondy ending up shooting the constable out of fear. They chop the duos bodies into pieces and clean the room. At present all the four are in station saying that only Gende alias joy and pondy were involved in killing while shuili and murgi were innocent. They even confess that out of fear they plan killing Luke and kill him in the swimming pool.The magistrate asks shuili and murgi to leave the town and the other two get 5 years imprisonment. Then it is revealed that Luke shuili and murgi has planned this and are partying at a flat. They decide to share the money among the three, 3 lakhs each. While shuili spoils Luke's brain and asks to kill him. Murgi overhears them and kill Luke neat the beach stabbing him to death. The police arrives and shoots murgi. Later it is revealed that it was shuili who informed police that Luke is alive and is planning on killing murgi. She runs away with all the money and performs on the song main khuda at a concert. In the ending credits it is shown that crime never pays and shuili too was arrested after 8 months.
