Orient Electric is an Indian consumer electrical equipments manufacturing company based in New Delhi. It is a part of the Orient Paper & Industries (: ), and which itself is a subsidiary of the $1.6 billion CK Birla Group. Formerly it was known as Orient Electricals, and in April 2014 it changed its name to Orient Electric. It manufactures and export fans, lighting products and consumer appliances.
It exports to over 30 countries and has retail footprint in over 1 lakh (100,000) retail outlets with 3,500 dealers and distributors within India. Their manufacturing facilities are based in Faridabad and Kolkata and they have 153 authorized service centres across the country.
Orient Electric has been ranked amongst the top 20 brands in India across all categories in a poll conducted by Superbrands India among 17,000 consumers and marketing professionals. It has been awarded with the Superbrand status for fans for 2014–15.
