Om Yun-chol (Korean: 엄윤철; born 18 November 1991) is a North Korean weightlifter. He is 152 centimetres (5 ft 0 in) and weighs 56 kilograms (123 lb). Om represents the Amnokgang Sports Team.
He won the gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics at the men's 56 kg event. He became only the fifth man to ever clean and jerk three times his own body weight. He is also the fourth man to lift over 3 times bodyweight multiple times after succeeding in breaking the world record clean and jerk of 169 kg in the –56 kg weight class during the Asian Interclub Championships.
At the men's 56 kg weightlifting event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Om was a favorite to renew his gold from London. After breaking his own Olympic record with a lift of 169 kg, Om was surpassed by Long Qingquan and had to settle for the silver medal.
