Oliver Township is a township in Perry County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,931 at the 2010 census.

The Bridge in Newport Borough, Fleisher Covered Bridge, and Newport Historic District are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 8.6 square miles (22.1 km²), of which, 8.3 square miles (21.4 km²) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.7 km²) of it (3.16%) is water.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2,061 people, 811 households, and 603 families residing in the township. The population density was 249.1 people per square mile (96.1/km²). There were 858 housing units at an average density of 103.7/sq mi (40.0/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 97.96% White, 0.68% African American, 0.15% Native American, 0.53% Asian, 0.24% from other races, and 0.44% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.63% of the population.

There were 811 households out of which 34.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.6% were married couples living together, 13.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.6% were non-families. 21.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.54 and the average family size was 2.92.
