Octavian Morariu (born August 7, 1961) in Bucharest, is a former Romanian rugby union football player. He played as a Number Eight.
Octavian Morariu played for Rugby Club Grivița Roșie as a youth and also for Barbarians.
Morariu gathered 2 caps for Romania, from his debut in 1984 to his last game in 1985 without scoring.
From 2001 to 2003 Morariu was president of Romanian Rugby Federation, and from 2004 to 2014 president of Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee. From 2013 Morariu is the president of Rugby Europe being unanimously reelected for a second term in 2016.
Octavian is the son of former Romania rugby union international Viorel Morariu.
