Oakridge International School is an international baccalaureate affiliated school located in Hyderabad, India. Oakridge International School provides IGCSE and CBSE syllabus. In grades 9 and 10, the students take the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) course and the school also offers checkpoints for grades 7 and 8 which are conducted by the University of Cambridge International Examinations - CIE. The students receive a diploma at the end of pre-primary. It has four day-schools in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mohali and one boarding campus in Visakhapatnam city.
The school was established by educationist, Shomie Das, an alumnus of The Doon School, on the concept of smart schools in 2001. The school started on 11 June 2001 in rented premises in Jubilee Hills.
On 24 June 2002 the campus moved to Khajaguda, Hyderabad. The new campus covers 10.5 acres (42,000 m2) and was inaugurated by the former chief minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu. The school has over 3000 students.
The school is equipped with multiple laboratories for math and science, two libraries, an infirmary, a fitness center, a large Grand Palace Hall and several activity rooms. Classrooms are air conditioned and many have projectors or digital smart boards. There are two offices- a front office and a main office.
The outdoor sports facilities include two tennis courts, a swimming pool and a splash pool , a cricket pitch, a volleyball court, a basketball court, a soccer field, a rock climbing wall and a skating rink for younger children.
