Now TV (presented as NOW TV) is a telecommunications company serving the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland and is owned by Sky UK Limited. Now TV provides subscription Internet television, broadband Internet, and land line telephone services. It was first announced in February 2012 as an Internet television service, and launched in the United Kingdom on 17 July 2012 first offering a Sky Cinema subscription (At the time Sky Cinema was named Sky Movies), adding a Sky Sports subscription in March 2013, adding an entertainment television package in October 2013, and then adding a Kids television channel package in June 2016. Now TV is designed for people who have no existing pay television and/or broadband Internet and land line telephone service and/or don't want to be tied to a contract. On 26 April 2017 the Now TV Internet television service was launched in the Republic of Ireland. Users who subscribe in the Republic of Ireland can only access their subscribed content while located in the Republic of Ireland, the same is for United Kingdom users who can only access their subscribed content while located in the United Kingdom, this is all due to licensing rights and legal restrictions. On 29 June 2016, Now TV Broadband was launched in the United Kingdom. Now TV Broadband is a no contract package including cable or fibre-optic broadband, and a land line telephone with pay-as-you-go, unlimited calls on weekends and evenings, or unlimited calls anytime.
