Norwood Township is a civil township of Charlevoix County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 723 at the 2010 census.
Norwood Township is located in western Charlevoix County, bordered by Antrim County to the south and Lake Michigan to the west. The unincorporated community of Norwood occupies the southwest corner of the township. According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 24.4 square miles (63.2 km2), of which 18.1 square miles (47.0 km2) is land and 6.2 square miles (16.1 km2), or 25.59%, is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 714 people, 283 households, and 213 families residing in the township. The population density was 39.3 per square mile (15.2/km²). There were 385 housing units at an average density of 21.2 per square mile (8.2/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 97.76% White, 1.12% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 0.42% from other races, and 0.56% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.70% of the population.
There were 283 households out of which 29.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.8% were married couples living together, 3.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.4% were non-families. 21.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.49 and the average family size was 2.85.
