Northmoor is a city in Platte County, Missouri, United States. The population was 325 at the 2010 census.

A post office called Northmoor was established in 1927, and remained in operation until 1947. The community's name is an amalgamation of Moore, the name of a first settler, and "north", a directional name relative to the community's location from Kansas City.

On May 4, 2003 an EF-4 tornado ripped through the town, destroying several homes and causing extensive damage to the police station and to City Hall. Despite the damage, no serious injuries were reported.

Northmoor is located at 39°11′4″N 94°36′16″W / 39.18444°N 94.60444°W / 39.18444; -94.60444 (39.184403, -94.604505).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.24 square miles (0.62 km2), all of it land.

As of the census of 2010, there were 325 people, 134 households, and 82 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,354.2 inhabitants per square mile (522.9/km2). There were 159 housing units at an average density of 662.5 per square mile (255.8/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 96.0% White, 3.4% African American, 0.3% Native American, and 0.3% Pacific Islander. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.2% of the population.
