As of the census of 2000, there were 1,450 people, 425 households, and 333 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 2,014.7 people per square mile (777.6/km²). There were 449 housing units at an average density of 623.9/sq mi (240.8/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 4.69% White, 94.90% African American, 0.21% Asian, and 0.21% from two or more races.
