North Salt Lake is a city in Davis County, Utah, United States. It is part of the Ogden–Clearfield, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 16,322 at the 2010 census, which had risen to an estimated 19,193 as of 2014.
North Salt Lake is located in southern Davis County; it is bordered to the north by Woods Cross, to the northeast by Bountiful, and to the south by Salt Lake City in Salt Lake County. According to the United States Census Bureau, North Salt Lake has a total area of 22.2 square kilometres (8.6 sq mi), of which 0.1 square miles (0.2 km2), or 0.80%, is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 8,749 people, 2,874 households, and 2,253 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,060.7 people per square mile (409.5/km²). There were 3,022 housing units at an average density of 366.4 per square mile (141.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 92.60% White, 0.31% African American, 1.01% Native American, 1.50% Asian, 0.42% Pacific Islander, 2.40% from other races, and 1.76% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.36% of the population.
