Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki is a Māori tribal group in the area around Clevedon near Auckland. Ngāi Tai Ki Tāmaki people first arrived in the East Coast and settled in Torere. From here after various migrations to Auckland some of the tribe decided to leave their traditional home in the East Coast to settle in the Hauraki districts of Clevedon/ Maraetai, Howick and as far inland as Otara. Te Irirangi Drive, a major highway in Manukau City, is named after the Ngāi Tai Ki Tāmaki rangatira, Te Irirangi.

Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki forms part of the Hauraki Tribes Collective.

Pan-tribal iwi station Sea 92FM broadcasts to members of Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki, Te Whakatōhea and Te Whānau-ā-Apanui in the Opotiki area. It is operated by pan-tribal service provider Whakaatu Whanaunga Trust, and is available on 92.0 FM. It operates the low-power Opotiki 88.1 FM, geared towards a young demographic.
