Newbury College is a college of further education in Newbury, Berkshire for anyone aged 16 or over.
The college offers a wide range of academic and vocational full and part-time courses to school leavers and adult learners. Part-time courses are delivered at over 50 local venues across West Berkshire. Courses include NVQs, BTECs and apprenticeships. The college also offers a provision of higher education courses in conjunction with Reading University.
A regular shuttle bus service operates between Newbury railway station and the College during term time.
A centre for dance, drama and events, its performance hall can seat up to 140 people. It opens out to a courtyard and terraced seating area, enabling performances to take place to an outside audience in good weather.
Officially opened by Lady Carnarvon in 2006, the garden, used for learning about planting, growing and cultivating flowers and vegetables, has a greenhouse, polytunnels and fully accessible raised flowerbeds.
Newbury hosts a range of basic to advanced IT courses for levels 1 to 3 ECDL Qualifications and a range of leisure courses teaching IT applications at basic, intermediate and advanced levels.
The campus at Monks Lane offers fully equipped rooms for meetings and conferences in boardroom and conference styles. With over 40 classrooms ideal for meetings that require syndicate exercises, an IT suite and Hairdressing training salon.
Facilities also include the Sports Hall and Gallery, and the Calcot Community Learning Centre.
