New Sharon is a town in Franklin County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,407 at the 2010 census.
Fred H. Hale, Sr.–who was recognized as the world's oldest living man from March 5, 2004 to November 19, 2004–was born in the town on December 1, 1890.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 46.83 square miles (121.29 km2), of which, 46.19 square miles (119.63 km2) of it is land and 0.64 square miles (1.66 km2) is water.
