New England Metal and Hardcore Festival

The New England Metal and Hardcore Festival is an annual festival held in Worcester, Massachusetts. It is a weekend-long concert of heavy metal and hardcore punk bands along with a merchandising and promotional area for record labels and other vendors. It has been held in the Palladium in Worcester since its inception in 1999.

The headliners were Morbid Angel and Napalm Death on the 1st night, Gwar and Deicide on the 2nd night, and Manowar and Earth Crisis on the 3rd night. It was originally supposed to be The Misfits instead of Manowar, which is why there was so much hardcore on day 3, but The Misfits canceled and they got Manowar as the replacement headliner.
