Logan Township is a civil township of Ogemaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 581 at the 2000 census.
There are no established communities in the sparsely populated township. A lumber settlement named Nestor, named for Thomas Nestor, had a post office that operated from September 6, 1901, until June 30, 1911.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 36.0 square miles (93.2 km²), of which 35.2 square miles (91.3 km²) is land and 0.7 square mile (1.9 km²) (2.03%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 581 people, 239 households, and 173 families residing in the township. The population density was 16.5 per square mile (6.4/km²). There were 430 housing units at an average density of 12.2 per square mile (4.7/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 96.73% White, 0.34% Native American, 0.17% from other races, and 2.75% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.86% of the population.
There were 239 households out of which 23.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.4% were married couples living together, 5.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 27.2% were non-families. 23.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.39 and the average family size was 2.82.
In the township the population was spread out with 20.7% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 23.8% from 25 to 44, 26.5% from 45 to 64, and 22.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 44 years. For every 100 females there were 108.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.3 males.
