Navagrahas


The Graha (Sanskrit: graha "seizing, laying hold of, holding", ) or Navagraha (Sanskrit, "nine houses") are deities in Hinduism and Hindu astrology.

There are nine graha. They include the Sun, the Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn, and the ascending and descending lunar nodes, respectively known as Rahu and Ketu.

The Navagraha are:

there are 9 planets also known as navagraha. According to hindu mythology, Shani (a.k.a. Saturn) is the son of Surya (a.k.a. Sun). And they have rivalry between them.,

In that case scientifically also, pluto has reverse direction of orbitting around the sun unlike other planets and the axis is horizantally inclined opposite to that of remaining 8 planets according to our solar system.

Temples that incorporate or are dedicated to one or all nine of the Navagraha are found in different parts of India, such as in Tamil Nadu.
