Nagpur Junction railway station is a railway station in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India.

Nagpur Junction railway station, one of the oldest and busiest Stations of Nagpur, was inaugurated in its present form on Jan 15th 1925 by the then Governor Sir Frank Sly. The railways at Nagpur were established well before the independence of India. The initial lines were laid down in Nagpur in the year of 1867. Then, in 1881, Nagpur was linked up with another Indian City, Kolkata, via the railways of the state of Chhattisgarh.

The original railway station of Nagpur was previously located east of the current site. The present-day railway station of Nagpur was also put up in the pre-independence days, established in 1924.

A total of about 242 trains from various destinations halt at Nagpur; these include passenger trains as well as, express, mail, Duronto, Rajdhani, and Garib Rath trains. Of these, about 53 run daily and 26 terminate or originate from Nagpur. Almost 1.6 lakh passengers board at or leave from Nagpur Railway Station

Nagpur Junction railway station is among 22 stations in India that have been recommended to be upgraded to international standard. Work is to be sourced out to the Public-Private Partnerships and the Central Railway has identified priority areas like security, safety and cleanliness for the station.

The close-situated Ajni is planned to be developed as a terminus and is also under consideration with a vision of diverting the traffic from the Nagpur railway station in the long run. A proposal to develop Ajni as a coaching complex is also under way.
