Myth & Roid (stylized as MYTH & ROID) is a Japanese musical unit signed to Media Factory. The unit consists of vocalist Mayu and producer Tom-H@ck. The unit made its debut in 2015 with the release of its first single "L.L.L". The unit's music has been featured in various anime series such as Overlord, BBK/BRNK, Youjo Senki and Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World-.
According to the unit's official website, its name comes from two words: "myth" representing the past, and "android" representing the future; the unit hopes that these two aspects will allow the creation of "a new world".
The unit made its musical debut in 2015 with the release of its first single "L.L.L"; the title track is used as the ending theme to the 2015 anime television series Overlord. The single peaked at No. 29 on the Oricon weekly charts, and reached a ranking of No. 3 on iTunes' Japanese download rankings.
The unit's second single "Anger/Anger" was released on February 24, 2016; the title track is used as the ending theme to the 2016 anime television series BBK/BRNK. The single peaked at No. 82 on the Oricon weekly charts. The unit's third single "Styx Helix" was released on May 25, 2016; the title song is used as the first ending theme to the 2016 anime television series Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World-, and the coupling song "Straight Bet" is used as the ending theme for episode 7. The unit's fourth single "Paradisus-Paradoxum" was released on August 24, 2016; the title track is used as the second opening theme to Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World-, and the coupling song "Theater D" is used as the ending theme for episode 14. The unit's fifth single "Jingo Jungle" will be released on February 8, 2017; the single's title track will be used as the opening theme to the 2017 anime television series Yōjo Senki. The unit will also perform theme songs for two Overlord theatrical movies scheduled for release in 2017.
On April 24, 2017, the unit's first album "eYe's" came out.
