The Mohammad Hassani (or Mamasanis) are a large Baloch tribe (Sunni Muslims) living in the Pakistan districts of Chagai, Kharan, Washuk, Kalat, Awaran, Khuzdar, Quetta, Nushki, Mastung, Panjgur and Makran in Balochistan and Sindh and Panjab. They also have notable presence in Helmand Province (Afghanistan), Zahedan (Iran) and Iraq. According to some estimates, their population is 55,000 in Pakistan. They are known as the largest tribe of Baloch. They speak several languages including Balochi, Brahui, and Persian.

There are many subtribes of Mohammad Hassnis and every sub tribe has a sardar (sub sardar) who is meant to be loyal to their main sardar (shabaz khan), namely Durrakzai (largest), Kalmalizai, Harooni, Mandawzai, Eidozai, Chakarzai, Bakhalzai, Zeerkari, Nazarzai, Khiyyazai and Shahaqzai and many others and some Mohammad Hassanis take Hazrat Abbas (uncle of Prophet Mohammad) as their ancestor, hence some of them (those who live in Panjab) like to be called Abbasi.
