Mortuary Drape is an Italian black metal band founded in 1986 in Alessandria.

The first demo of the band, Necromancy, was published in 1987 and in 1989 they released their second demo, 'Doom Return'. In 1991 the band signed their first contract and released the EP Into the Drape.
