Montpelier is a village in St. Helena Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 266 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Montpelier was the Parish Seat from 1812-1832.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.9 square miles (4.8 km²), of which 1.9 square miles (4.8 km²) is land and 0.53% is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 214 people, 98 households, and 54 families residing in the village. The population density was 114.8 inhabitants per square mile (44.4/km²). There were 111 housing units at an average density of 59.5 per square mile (23.0/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 58.88% White, 40.19% African American, and 0.93% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.34% of the population.
There were 98 households out of which 21.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.0% were married couples living together, 4.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 43.9% were non-families. 39.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 24.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.18 and the average family size was 3.04.
