Montana City is a census-designated place (CDP) in Jefferson County, Montana, United States. The population was 2,715 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Helena Micropolitan Statistical Area.

As of the census of 2010, there were 2,715 people in Montana City, a 30% increase over the 2000 census. Of the 2,094 people of the 2000 census, 697 households, and 627 families residing in the CDP. The racial makeup of the CDP was 98.19% White, 0.05% African American, 0.48% Native American, 0.10% Asian, 0.14% Pacific Islander, 0.10% from other races, and 0.96% from two or more races.
