MoneyConf is an invite-only fintech conference held annually since 2015. The conference is organised by Web Summit, which was founded by Paddy Cosgrave, David Kelly and Daire Hickey. The topic of the conference is centered on fintech and attendees range from global banks to smaller tech companies. This contains a mix of CEOs and founders of tech start ups together with a range of people from across the global financial industry.

Collision is part of Web Summit's global portfolio of events including f.ounders,Web Summit in Lisbon,RISE in Hong Kong, SURGE in India, and Collision in New Orleans.

For its inaugural year, the event was held in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The following two years MoneyConf was held in Madrid, Spain and in June 2017, Paddy Cosgrave, Web Summit co-founder and CEO, announced that MoneyConf would be held in Web Summit's hometown, Dublin, Ireland from 2018.

The 2017 iteration of MoneyConf took place from June 6–7 in La N@ve in Madrid, Spain. 1,868 people from 69 countries attended the event in addition to 70 startups.

Over 100 speakers spoke at the event including important figures from global banks, such as BBVA group executive chairman Francisco González, ING Group chief innovation officer Ignacio Juliá Vilar, and Western Union chief technical officer David Thompson, and leading fintech minds, such as Kabbage co-founder, president and COO Kathryn Petralia, TransferWise co-founder and CEO Taavet Hinrikus, and Blockchain co-founder and CEO Peter Smith.
