Mondo had stints as a radio disc jockey at DWKX and NU 107 where he hosted shows like Club Retro and Euro-Rock.

Castro formed independent band The Pin-Ups, then known as The Pin-Up Girls, back in 1995 and signed-up with Tacoma, Washington label Know-It-All Records. In 2009, the band was invited by Chris Williams to contribute to Baby Boom Records' compilation CD. The band was called The Pin-Ups. In 2017, he formed The Beautiful Letdown (band).
