Dr. Muḥammad Saʻīd Raslān (Arabic: محمد سعيد رسلان ; born November 23, 1955) is an Egyptian Salafi sheikh based in Sobk el Ahad, Egypt.
He was born in the village of Sobk el Ahad, Ashmun, Munofiaa (Egypt) which is about 45 minutes from Cairo. He received a bachelor's degree in Medicine, a bachelor's degree in Surgery from Al-Azhar University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the Department of the Arabic Language, the Islamic Studies Division. He also holds a master's degree in Hadith sciences with honors along with a first class honors for research in "The Principles of Narrating according to the Muhaditheen (scholars of Hadith)" "ضوابط الرواية عند المُحدِّثين"
He also holds a Ph.D. - International certification - in Hadith sciences with honors along with a first class honors for research in "Narrators accused of innovation in the Six Books " "الرواة المُبدَّعون من رجال الكتب الستة"
He has been given an Ijazah for forty hadith's with a chain of narration to the Prophet Mohammad. The collection of ahadith is called the "Forty Al Buldaaniyah" "الأربعين البُلدَانِيَّة"
Shaykh Raslan has been influenced by some of the major Scholars of Islam, such as Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah and his student, Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Al-Qayyim Al-Jawziyya, as well as the famous scholars of Egypt, Imaam Mahmoud Shaker and his brother Imaam Ahmad Muhammad Shakir. He has also been influenced by the Muhadith Shaykh Naasir-ud-Deen Al-Albaani and Shaykh Muhammad bin Saalih Al 'Uthaymeen.
Sheikh Raslan is known for his strong anti-Muslim Brotherhood stance. Sheikh Raslan is also opposed to democracy and political parties. He is also known for opposing revolutions and rebelling against Muslim Governments and Rulers Despite his stance his number of those who attend his mosque has quadrupled to over 4000 since the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak and has gained thousands of student's from countries all over the world, such as the USA, Japan, France, Spain, England, Kazakhstan, Russia, among other countries.
