Mộc Châu is a rural district of Sơn La Province in the Northwest region of Vietnam. As of 2003 the district had a population of 118,867. The district covers an area of 2,025 km². The district capital lies at Mộc Châu.
Moc Chau is popular with Vietnamese and international tourists for its hill tribes such as White & Back of Thai People and Muong People, the green tea hills, Moc Chau milk, the natural landscape of Dai Yem waterfalls, Hill Pine and Orchid Garden flowers. It takes 5 hours driving up with a distance of 200 km from Hanoi to Moc Chau.
