Miss World 2018 will be the 68th edition of the Miss World pageant. Manushi Chhillar of India will crown her successor at the end of the event.
Venue to host the pageant is not yet confirmed but a discussion is in progress to host the 68th edition of Miss World in Manila, Philippines.
According to a report from the TV Patrol, the Miss World Organisation (MWO) is planning to host the pageant in the Philippines as the country has never hosted this particular pageant, although it has been the venue for three Miss Universe pageants.
In 2014, Miss World 2013 Megan Young (from the Philippines), along with Cory Quirino, former National Director of Miss World Philippines, discussed with Vice President of the Philippines, Jejomar Binay the possibility of hosting the Miss World 2014 pageant in the country, but the government of the Philippines disapproved.
