Miss Teen Ecuador is a beauty pageant in Ecuador which began in 1990.
The Miss Teen Ecuador pageant, has been held annually to select representatives of Ecuador to international competitions.
The pageant is produced and organized by Rodrigo Moreira, who promotes the values of ecuadorian women through an awareness-raising campaign among contestants for the benefit of children and adolescents with cancer treated at SOLCA, collecting hundreds of nutritional supplements annually.
The reigning Miss Teen Ecuador is María Guillén of Guayas crowned at the 27th edition held in the Teatro Las Cámaras of Guayaquil, on May 20. She competed at Miss Teenager Universal 2017 held in Panama City, Panama.
Miss Teen Ecuador was founded in 1990 by Cesar Montecé CEO of the Queen of Ecuador Inc. company.
The first Miss Teen Ecuador pageant was held in Guayaquil City, Ecuador in 1990; and the first winner was Alicia Álvarez. C.J. Arosemena Monroy, a former President of the Republic of Ecuador was present during the pageant coronation night.
In 2012, the Queen of Ecuador Inc. company sold all the rights of the contest to the Miss Teen Ecuador Organization.
Rodrigo Moreira, president of the Miss Teen Ecuador Organization is voluntarily committed together the contestants in an annual campaign to gather powdered milk for children treated at the Solca Hospital in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
