The National Beauty Contest in Colombia held its 78th edition on Monday, November 12, 2011 in Cartagena de Indias. Daniella Álvarez crowned Carmen Lucia Aldana Roldán of Valle as the new Miss Colombia 2012. Lucia competed in the Miss Universe 2013 pageant, but she failed to place on the semifinals.
