The first LoL roster of Misfits consisted of Alphari, Wisdom, Selfie, Yuuki60 and Dreams.
Misfits successfully qualified for the European Challenger Series after defeating EURONICS Gaming 3-1 in the finals. In the 2016 EU CS Summer Split, Misfits finished first and qualified for the 2017 EU LCS Spring Promotion tournament, where they defeated Schalke 3-1 and advanced to the EU LCS.
On 13 April 2017, Misfits' sister team, Misfits Academy, qualified for the 2017 EU LCS Summer Split after defeating Origen 3-0 and Fnatic Academy 3-2.
On 19 May 2017, Misfits sold its academy team and second LCS spot to the German eSports organisation Mysterious Monkeys. The entire academy roster, excluding their jungler Pridestalker, was acquired by the Mysterious Monkeys.
In late June 2016, Misfits acquired the roster of Graviton Surge, consisting of Swedish players Nicholas "Skipjack" Rosada, Jonathan "Kryw" Nobre, Andreas "Nevix" Karlsson, Terrence "SoOn" Tarlier, Sebastian "Zebbosai" Olsson and Nikolaj "Zaprey" Ian Moyes.
