Minnesota elections, 2018


A general election will be held in Minnesota on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. All of Minnesota's executive officers are up for election as well as all the seats in the Minnesota House of Representatives, two United States Senate seats, and all of Minnesota's eight seats in the United States House of Representatives. Primary elections will be held on August 14, 2018 for offices to nominate candidates, if necessary.

Incumbent Democratic–Farmer–Labor Governor Mark Dayton is eligible for reelection, but has declined doing so after finishing his last gubernatorial campaign.

Saint Paul Mayor Chris Coleman, State Representative Erin Murphy,State Auditor Rebecca Otto, and U.S. Representative Tim Walz are contesting in the Democratic primary for the open gubernatorial seat. Christopher Chamberlin,Jeffrey Wharton State Representative Matt Dean, Ramsey County Commissioner Blake Huffman, and Hennepin County Commissioner Jeff Johnson are running in the Republican primary.

All 134 seats in the Minnesota House of Representatives will be up for election in 2018.
