Mikayil Chingiz oglu Jabbarov (Azerbaijani: Mikayıl Cabbarov Çingiz oğlu; born September 19, 1976) is the Minister of Education of the Azerbaijan Republic.
Mikayil Jabbarov was born on September 19, 1976. He is married and has two children.
In 1992, Milkayil Jabbarov admitted to the International Law Faculty of Baku State University and in 1997, graduated from the faculty with honors diploma.
In 1997, he obtained an LL.M. from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California, United States. In 2004, Jabbarov obtained a Master's Degree in Economics from Azerbaijan State Economic University.
Having started his career in 1995 at the banking sector, Mikayil Jabbarov worked as a lawyer in a law firm and private sector from 1999 to 2002.
From 2002 to 2003 he was the adviser to the minister at the Ministry of Economic Development, and during 2003–2004 he was the President of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).
By the decree of the President of Azerbaijan Republic, dated February 20, 2004, he was appointed the deputy minister of Economic Development. During that period, he was coordinating relations with the international financial institutions, as well as foreign economic relations, foreign investment policy, legal issues at the international arbitration and corporate governance.
By the decree of the President of Azerbaijan Republic, dated March 6, 2009, he was appointed the Head of the State Historical-Architectural Reserve, “Old City”, under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan Republic.
