Mierkinie [mjɛrˈkiɲɛ] (Lithuanian: Merkinė) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Wiżajny, within Suwałki County, Podlaskie Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland, close to the border with Lithuania. It lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) south of Wiżajny, 24 km (15 mi) north of Suwałki, and 132 km (82 mi) north of the regional capital Białystok.
