Middletown is an unincorporated community in Caledonia Township of Shiawassee County in the U.S. state of Michigan, located along M-71/Corunna Avenue between the cities of Corunna and Owosso. It is a census-designated place (CDP) for statistical purposes and has no legal status as an incorporated municipality. The population was 966 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.3 km2), all land.

As of the census of 2000, there were 966 people, 374 households, and 264 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,973.3 per square mile (761.2/km²). There were 396 housing units at an average density of 808.9 per square mile (312.0/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 97.52% White, 0.31% African American, 0.52% Native American, 0.21% Asian, 0.83% from other races, and 0.62% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.97% of the population.

There were 374 households out of which 32.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.7% were married couples living together, 10.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.4% were non-families. 22.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.58 and the average family size was 3.02.
