Mesquita (Portuguese pronunciation: [miʃˈkitɐ], Mosque) is a municipality located in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro. Its population was 182,546 (2005) and its area is 39 km2 (15 sq mi).
The municipality contains part of the 4,398 hectares (10,870 acres) Mendanha State Park, created in 2013.
