Mercedes Sampietro (born 24 January 1947 in Barcelona) is a Spanish actress. Her debut on stage was in 1979, and in cinema, seven years later, with Jaime Chávarri's A un dios desconocido. She has worked five times with Pilar Miró. In 1981 she won the award for Best Actress at the 12th Moscow International Film Festival for her role in Gary Cooper, Who Art in Heaven.
She won one Goya Award for Best Actress thanks to her role in Argentinian-Spanish film Lugares comunes
She has dubbed into Spanish actresses including Meryl Streep, Diane Keaton, Kim Basinger, and Catherine Deneuve.
She was the president of the Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España from 9 October 2003 to 18 December 2006.
