The Mercedes F1 W08 Hybrid is a Formula One racing car designed and developed by Aldo Costa, Geoffrey Willis and James Allison. Furthermore, it is constructed by Mercedes-Benz to compete during the 2017 Formula One season. The car is scheduled to be driven by 2008, 2014 and 2015 World Drivers' Champion Lewis Hamilton, who remained with the team for a fifth season, and Valtteri Bottas, who joined the team after 2016 World Champion Nico Rosberg's retirement from the sport.
In addition, the team changed their entrant team name from Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team to Mercedes AMG Petronas Motorsport. The chassis was then named "F1 W08 Hybrid" to represent the eighth Formula One car that Mercedes had constructed since 2010, while the hybrid was marked to recognise the utilisation of fully integrated hybrid power units.
The car is scheduled to make its competitive debut at the 2017 Australian Grand Prix, the opening round of the 2017 season.
