Online food ordering, e-commerce

Menulog is Australia and New Zealand's largest online food and beverage ordering platform and, as of March 2017, Menulog has over 9,000 restaurant partners across Australia, including international franchises like McDonald's, Pizza Hut and Subway, and national franchises like Red Rooster, Crust, Pizza Capers and Oporto (restaurant), as well as local restaurants offering more than 130 cuisines.

Operated by parent UK company Just Eat, the company is based in Sydney and operates in all major states and cities. The company also has over 500 restaurant partners throughout New Zealand.

Based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, Menulog was founded by Dan Katz, Leon Kamenev and Kevin Sherman in 2006 and has been operating for over 10 years. Since its founding the company has handled over 22 million meal orders.

In February 2015, Menulog and EatNow announced their agreement to merge, forming Menulog Group Limited. On 5 April 2016, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission commenced an investigation into the merger on potential breaches of Australian Consumer Law.

In May 2015, the company was bought by Just Eat for $855 million Australian dollars, who funded the deal by issuing new shares. In June 2016, Alistair Venn was appointed as Managing Director of Menulog. Menulog formed a partnership with Drive Yello in October 2016 to bring more Australians a greater variety of top quality cuisine to their door and ensure the fastest, most reliable delivery from store to customer. Drive Yello technology means restaurants can book drivers, track deliveries and gain valuable data instantly.

Menulog's research and insights into Australian food trends are regularly featured in the media, with a 2015 study showing Australia's hungriest suburbs published in The Daily Telegraph and The Herald Sun. Menulog's annual Tasty Takeaway awards, which recognise the nation's most popular takeaway restaurants, have also attracted media attention, appearing on news.com.au

In September 2015, Menulog launched a world first program to identify the healthiest takeaway options, called Healthy+. The program, which highlighted healthy menu dishes with a 'H+' icon, was well received by Australian media, appearing on The Daily Mail.
