McIntire is a city in Mitchell County, Iowa, United States. The population was 122 at the 2010 census.
McIntire was platted in 1891. It was named for its founders, John and Sarah McIntire.
McIntire is located at 43°26′12″N 92°35′45″W / 43.43667°N 92.59583°W (43.436587, -92.595703).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.01 square miles (2.62 km2), all of it land.
As of the census of 2010, there were 122 people, 55 households, and 28 families residing in the city. The population density was 120.8 inhabitants per square mile (46.6/km2). There were 64 housing units at an average density of 63.4 per square mile (24.5/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 100.0% White. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.6% of the population.
There were 55 households of which 16.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 41.8% were married couples living together, 5.5% had a female householder with no husband present, 3.6% had a male householder with no wife present, and 49.1% were non-families. 40.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 32.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
