Emekwanem Ogugua Biosah Jr. (born March 29, 1990), better known by his stage name Maxo Kream, is an American hip hop recording artist from Houston, Texas. He has released four mixtapes, Retro Card (2012), Quicc Strikes (2013), #Maxo187 (2015), and The Persona Tape (2016).
Emekwanem Ogugua Biosah Jr. was born on March 29, 1990 in Houston, Texas and grew up in Alief, Texas, a suburb of Southwest Houston, before moving to Fort Bend while in high school. He attended Stafford High School in Ft. Bend County. His father is Nigerian and his mother is African American. While growing up, he became affiliated with the 52 Hoover Gangster Crips and started participating in crimes before going to jail. After he was released, he began doing music with a group of his friends known as the "Kream Clicc" (a group which began while he was in high school to show their addiction to shoe collecting). He attended Alief Hastings High School.
In 2012, Maxo Kream started to gain popularity after releasing a remix of Kendrick Lamar's Rigamortis on YouTube. Quicc Strikes pushed him into the limelight, hitting over 85,000 hits on LiveMixtapes.
On October 22, 2016, Maxo Kream was arrested for engaging in a "organized crime" act and was held at Fort Bend County Jail in Richmond, TX.
