Maurice J. McDonough High School is a high school or secondary school in Maryland and is run through the Charles County Public Schools system. It has approximately 1,230 students and 80 employees.

The school, built in 1976, is named for Maurice James McDonough, who was an early educator in Charles County, Maryland.

3A State football champions in 1983, 1985, 1990, coached by Larry Johnson, Sr.

McDonough won a 3A state golf title in 2004, was the 2A football runner-up in 2006, 2A softball runner-up in 2008, and 2A softball State Champions in 2009.

Former Principal Jervie Petty announced in 2009 that the official school anthem would be "Purple Rain" by Prince, in honor of the school's purple colors.
