Mattakallappu Manmiyam (Tamil: மட்டக்களப்பு மான்மியம்; English: The Glory of Batticaloa) is a Tamil historical book. This book contains facts of the history of Batticaloa. Mattakallappu Manmiyam has been compiled by ‘’Vidhwan’’ F. X. Nadarajah from the collections of palm-leaf manuscripts, copper plate inscriptions & inscriptions and it was published in August 1962. The original authors are unknown.
The book records the history from ancient Batticaloa to Dutch colonial era. Historians say that the book has perplexity and mythical story as it written by various authors in various durations. However, it is considered a rare and important book for knowing the history of Batticaloa.
The book describes the ancient history of Batticaloa. Also, it gives more information about the kings, who ruled the Batticaloa, caste system, temple system, etc.
