Matt (born Matthew) Jones is the son of Tricia and Terry Jones renowned British designers, best known as founders and editors of the magazine i-D, and brother to Kayt Jones also a fashion photographer. He is married to the actress Jicky Schnee.

Jones shot his first cover for i-D Magazine when he was twenty years old. He then moved to the United States.

Jones’ photographs have been published in i-D,Vogue Paris,L'uomo Vogue, Italian Elle, French Elle, Elle UK, Flaunt, GQ, Esquire, V Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, Paris Vogue Vacances, and InStyle UK.
