Matamata Swifts AFC is a semi-professional association football club in Matamata, New Zealand.
Matamata Swifts competes in the WaiBOP Federation League Division 1 Template:Premiership during the 2017 season. The club will also compete in the Chatham Cup.
Matamata Swifts Association Football Club was established in 1930 and football has been played at different levels and with varying success every year since.
In 2017,Matamata Swifts AFC will field four senior teams (three men and one ladies), two youth teams (U-19 & U-13), nine junior teams (players aged 8 to 12) and eight mini-kickers teams (players aged 4 to 7). The club sponsors football at Matamata College, which fielded five teams in 2014. Matamata's historical rivals are Te Awamutu FC, but the two clubs have not been in the same league for several years. Currently the club's main rivals are near neighbours, Cambridge FC.
