Mark Edward Brennan (born February 6, 1947) is an American Roman Catholic bishop and an auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
Brennan was born on February 6, 1947 in Boston, Massachusetts. He attended public elementary and junior high schools before attending St. Anthony's High School in Washington, D.C. He received a bachelor’s degree in history in 1969 from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
He studied for the priesthood at Christ the King Seminary, then in Allegany, New York, for one year before attending the Pontifical North American College in Rome, earning a bachelor’s degree in sacred theology and a master’s in pastoral theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
Mark E. Brennan was ordained to the diaconate May 10, 1973, in Rome. He served diaconal assignments at Our Lady, Queen of Peace Parish, Washington, summer 1973; St. Aloysius Parish, Leonardtown Maryland, 1974-1975; and St. John Parish, Clinton, Maryland, 1975-1976.
He was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Washington by then-Archbishop William W. Baum May 15, 1976.
