Marcus Silanus (general 207 BC)

Marcus Silanus was a military field commander of the Roman Republic who served in Scipio Africanus's Iberian campaign against Hannibal's Carthaginians and Celtiberians during the Second Punic War (210–206 BC). His small force's devastating attack on the "very considerable" armies of Hanno and Mago Barca was detailed by Livy.
